DEPLOYS TEAM TO BULGARIA & ROMANIA TO HELP UKRAINIAN REFUGEES
UHER - Ukrainian Humanitarian Emergency Relief is committed to helping mothers, children, families and all other individuals displaced from their homes in Ukraine who seeking shelter, security, assistance and support.
This campaign is run by Todor Yordanov and Natalia Popovitch from Toronto, Canada, who a week after the invasion of Ukraine, flew from Canada to Varna to help people who are in need. Wesley R Taller and Yulia Khouri arrived this week to Bulgaria and are working together on the ground with Natalia Popovitch and Todor Yordanov to bring refugees from Ukraine through the Romanian border into Bulgaria. Yulia is a Former Protection Officer at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and who has worked with refugees and aid agencies all over the world for much of her career.
Our team of humanitarian volunteers is located in Bulgaria and we are providing a bus service to pick up people who are crossing Ukrainian - Romanian and Ukrainian - Moldova borders. Help will be provided directly on the ground in Romania and Bulgaria. We are collaborating with Varna Ukrainian Cultural Centre to provide medicines, food, shelter and immediate human necessities to the people from Ukraine who are seeking refuge in Bulgaria.

"We are not alone! There are hundreds of people lending a hand as volunteers, helpers and buying and bringing whatever they can or what they can afford.
Sometimes I think that my whole life so far has been preparing me for this moment. The same for all the people around me. Incredible, kind human beings."
